Bribie Bird Boxes is a local start up business founded by a retired farmer with a passion for wildlife and sustainability. Our mission is to maintain biodiversity and strive to conserve the native wildlife of the Bribie Island/Moreton Bay area.
We chose to take action, and by doing so, we found ourselves creating wildlife boxes for our local feathered and furry friends. By making and selling secure boxes, local native fauna have a safe and accessible home in a world where their natural habitat is shrinking each year.
Our passion for wildlife conservation and biodeiversity drives us to create high-quality, environmentally friendly bird boxes using natural materials. We take pride in using designs that have been approved by ecologists.

Story
Message from Glenn
I have long been hugely concerned about the loss of Biodiversity. I see this as a greater threat to the human species than climate change: climate change is reversible; biodiversity loss is not. If we fully understand the interconnectedness of species (the web of life), we know that the removal of too many interconnectors causes the whole ecology to collapse.
If we look at the many reasons for loss of species, we can see that one significant reason is the loss of breeding opportunities. In both urban and rural environments, the destruction of old growth trees has seriously destroyed so many hollows that are critical to the breeding success of so many animals. Not only does this reduce the numbers of native species, it provides opportunities for invasive species to move into this space.
My personal endeavor to prevent species loss has been to replace the diminishing numbers of natural hollows with artificial ones. It is very rewarding to see our local wildlife readily accepting my alternatives,
Contructing Our Boxes
Construction of our boxes is carried out by an experienced master crafter who has been involved in building bird boxes for over 40 years. He takes pride in constructing boxes from designs based on the most professional, scientific knowledge available, using high quality materials.
He is also a very keen nature enthusiast and gets great satisfaction from seeing his boxes being used by wildlife.
