Eastern Barn Owls (Tyto javanica) is native to southeastern Asia and Australasia. They are nocturnal predators that specialise hunting animals on the ground, utilising their acute hearing. The majority of their diet consists of small mammals which they locate by sound. They mate for life, however if one of the pair is killed, a new pair bond may be formed.
